Mr. Griggs is Chair of the firm's Long Term Care Practice Group, and specializes in defending the interests of long term care and other health care providers in professional liability litigation and regulatory actions, as well as corporate, employment, real estate and contractual disputes. Mr. Griggs also represents other clientele in litigation, employment, real estate and commercial matters. Before joining the firm, Mr. Griggs was Vice President and General Counsel of Harborside Healthcare, a national provider of skilled nursing services, Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of The Berkshire Group, and Staff Counsel to The Fafard Companies. He has established a record of success at trial, obtaining defense verdicts in several nursing home professional liability cases, including Estate of Sisko v. Mediplex of Massachusetts, Inc., Middlesex (MA) Superior Court No. MICV-2005-00729 (August 2009); Estate of Foster v. Mediplex of Connecticut, Inc., Superior Court, New Haven County (CT) No. AAN-CV-04-4000366 (January 2008); and Degree v. SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation For Wood Mill, Essex County (MA) No. ESCV2003-02257 (February 2006).
