Kristina A. Engberg
Known for her zeal and thoroughness, Kristina Engberg has nearly twenty-five years of experience handling a variety of environmental law matters. She draws upon her varied and extensive background in compliance, permitting, administrative appeals, and litigation to advise clients in the current environmental landscape. She is responsible for all phases of litigation, including researching and drafting pleadings, comprehensive discovery, oral arguments, and appeals.
Kristina’s permitting and compliance expertise include wetlands, waterways, hazardous and solid waste, brownfield, air emissions, and energy. Additionally, she counsels clients with respect to the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and provides legal advice during the site remediation process. She evaluates environmental risk factors and, working closely with licensed site professionals, reviews and analyzes site assessment documents. Kristina is responsible for determining the status of releases and threats of release of hazardous waste. She is also experienced with land use and zoning issues and represents clients before federal, state, and local boards and agencies with respect to those issues. Additionally, Kristina is experienced in environmental litigation, including cost recovery actions brought under to CERCLA and G.L. chapter 21E.
Outside of the office, Kristina is involved in her local Parent Teacher Association and other community events.
